Product

amigo taxi app is a digital taxi request platform. The passenger picks a pickup point and a destination, sees the route and an approximate fare calculated from the official municipal taxi tariff, and sends a request. Nearby drivers holding a municipal taxi licence see the request and decide whether to accept it.

The platform does not assign drivers, does not operate transport, does not employ drivers and does not collect or process the fare. The passenger pays the driver in the vehicle. This keeps the product within the existing licensed-taxi framework in every Spanish municipality.

The passenger app and the website are available in English, Spanish and German. The driver app, amigo taxi partner, is built for Spanish licensed drivers.

Market

Spain is the second most visited country in the world, and most visitors arrive by air at a small number of airports next to resort coasts and islands, where licensed taxis are the standard first-mile transport.

Business model

Drivers pay a fixed monthly membership to receive requests through amigo taxi partner. There is no per-ride commission on either side. Passengers pay nothing to the platform: no commission, booking fee or surge.

This aligns the platform with the licensed taxi sector rather than against it. The driver keeps the full meter fare, the passenger pays the official tariff, and the platform's revenue scales with the number of active licensed drivers, not with fare volume.
