The data controller is Berlin GmbH LLC (berlingmbh.com), which operates amigo taxi app, the driver app amigo taxi partner and the website amigotaxi.app. You can reach us for any data protection matter at the support address at the end of this page.

amigo taxi app is a digital platform on which passengers publish taxi requests and nearby licensed taxi drivers may accept them. Berlin GmbH LLC is not a transport operator, does not employ drivers and does not collect or process the ride fare.

We collect only what is needed to create your account, publish a request and put you in contact with the driver who accepts it.

We process data to run your account, verify your phone number, publish your request to nearby drivers, show route and tariff information, send notifications about the state of a request, answer support messages and prevent fraud and misuse.

The legal bases are the performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), your consent for optional permissions such as location and push notifications (Art. 6(1)(a)), our legitimate interest in keeping the platform secure and free of abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)) and, for driver membership records, our legal obligations in tax and accounting matters (Art. 6(1)(c)).

While a request is open, nearby drivers see the pickup point, destination and approximate fare, but not who you are. When a driver accepts, that driver sees your name and phone number and you see the driver's name, phone number, vehicle and position.

Passengers and drivers may contact each other directly by phone or messaging to confirm details. Those conversations take place outside the app and are not stored by us.

We share data only with providers that are needed to run the service and only to the extent necessary: hosting and infrastructure in the European Union, map, routing and address search providers, SMS or voice providers that deliver verification codes, and the Apple and Google services that deliver push notifications.

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or another safeguard recognised under Chapter V GDPR. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We disclose data to public authorities only when a law, court order or binding request from a competent authority requires it.

Account data is kept while your account is active. Request history is kept for 24 months to handle disputes and is then anonymised. Positions sent during a ride are deleted or anonymised within 90 days. Technical logs are kept for up to 12 months.

When you delete your account, personal data is erased within 30 days, except for records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal defence purposes, which are kept for the period required by law and then deleted.

Under the GDPR and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD) you have the right to access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable format and object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent you may withdraw it at any time; the app's permission settings let you switch off location or notifications.

To exercise a right, write to the support address below from the e-mail address or phone number linked to your account. We answer within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

amigo taxi app is intended for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly create accounts for minors; if we learn that an account belongs to a child we delete it.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled systems in the European Union. Access inside Berlin GmbH LLC is limited to staff who need it for support and operations. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects your rights we will inform you and the competent authority as the GDPR requires.

We may update this policy when the service, the law or our providers change. The current version is always published in the app and on amigotaxi.app with its date. If a change materially affects you, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect.
